James has been painting landscapes for the past 15 years. He enjoys using oils, acrylics and pencil.
Loveless suggests that these 8" X 10" images be placed at prominent locations in your home, or office. These landscapes look absolutely beautiful on coffee tables, on top of your fireplace, on wall shelves or stereo speakers. Loveless also encourages you to save and buy more than one landscape at a time, so that they can be hung on those walls near patio doors, next to wall mirrors and in the bathroom.
This limited edition print is a reproduction from an oil painting of the St. Louis Old Courthouse Rotunda and only 850 prints will be sold.
The concept to create this artwork was apart of the courthouse which is part of the National Parks system, which is a part of the Jefferson Expansion that also includes the grounds of the St. Louis Gateway Arch along the Mississippi River. I enjoyed looking up at the light coming through the small windows in the turret.
This building where the original was taken is the site of the historical Dred Scott case was held and decided. As a result, the artwork is named, “Judgement.”
By the way, my wife's father, the late Rev. Archie Blaine, did the legislature to have the St. Louis Gateway Arch erected. He was the first African-American to serve as administrative assistant to a mayor in St. Louis, MO. He served in Missouri’s political structure for over 35 years and passed away from heart failure in 1991.
The artwork is a canvas Giclee and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity and the print will be signed & numbered by the artist, James Loveless, Jr.
